From jet engines to data pipelines, Georgios has always been obsessed with optimization. He began his career with an industrial PhD in aerodynamic optimization of airplane engines, then made a smooth landing into the world of data. Over the years, he’s worked as both an engineer and a manager, leading data teams, across companies of all sizes, from scale-ups to Meta. Now, as Director of Data Engineering at GWI, Georgios helps unlock insights from data at scale. When he’s not deep in data, you’ll probably find him running or cracking bad jokes (sometimes both at once).
